Gavin Newsom Sucks.com, actually a Pro-Mayor Newsom blog advocating Clean, Safe Streets for San Francisco Taxpayers, announced today another effort to recall District 6 Supervisor, Chris Daly.
If San Francisco’s streets were toys for tots, then Chris Daly’s coddling of junkies, homeless and violence would be the toxic lead poisoning to hazard all that walks our streets.
In short, Daly’s the Ford Pinto of politics, driving slow in the fast lane to Quality of Life; and consumer complaints have reached the point of no return – total recall!
KaBoom!
Notice of Intention to Circulate Recall Petiton:
We, the People of District Six, demand the recall of Supervisor Chris Daly for the following reasons:
• We deserve a Supervisor who advocates for the health and welfare of the entire District rather than divert general funds by way of Charter Amendment propositions away from public safety, clean streets, safe parks, and public health resources for the next 15 years or more;
• We deserve a Supervisor who can control his or her emotions and not behave in an immature fashion when representing the People of District Six, one who does not make unsubstantiated personal attacks while acting as District 6 Supervisor;
• We deserve a Supervisor who is willing to talk to our free press;
• We deserve a Supervisor who will not threaten the economic health of the City and County of San Francisco by enabling quality of life crimes to proliferate.
Imagine Newsom’s transformation unhindered by Daly as well as your walk to work as we wok towards Clean, Safe Streets - Rejoice!

Did this recall ever get circulated? What is the current status of it?
Whoa! On 5/13/08, Supervisor McGoldrick presented a Charter Amendment (First Draft) to amend the Charter of the City and County of San Francisco by amending Section 14.103, to raise the number of signatures required to qualify a recall petition for member of the Board of Supervisors from 10 percent of the registered voters of the district to 20 percent. ASSIGNED UNDER 30 DAY RULE to Rules Committee
How many registered voters are there in districts 3, 5, and 6?
Somehow i missed the point. Probably lost in translation
Anyway … nice blog to visit.
cheers, Vaporing.
